Love and Other Brain Experiments is out now!
Catch my two rival nerds on audio, eBook or paperback now!
Hi there!
I’m landing in your inbox with the sentence I’ve been waiting for years and years and years to say: I AM A PUBLISHED AUTHOR!
Because Love and Other Brain Experiments, my debut novel, is out in stores TODAY!
(That is, if you’re in the US or Canada—my fellow Europeans: in 9 days the book will be available in our side of the world, too).
This means anybody could just walk into a shop and pick up a copy of the book, download it on their Kindle, press play on the audiobook when they can’t fall asleep at night or need entertainment on their commute.
How wild is this?
I think it’ll take me about 10-99 business days to get used to the fact.
If you haven’t ordered the book yet but would like to:
or order via your favourite indie or get the audiobook or request it at your local library!
If you want a signed copy, I’ve left a few at Word Bookstores and have been told that if you specify you want a signed copy from them they’ll ship it to you (though you’d better be quick just to make sure you snag one!)
Fun fact: I’m currently in New York where I’ve celebrated a wonderful launch event with family, friends and readers last night that I have absolutely no pictures of because I was busy chatting and soaking it all in. I will talk about this some other day, but if you were there: thank you so so much for coming, you made this night really special!
This also means I’ll be hopping book shops today to see if I can find my book and hoping that seeing it in a shop will make the whole thing feel a little more real?

I will be off signing books now and soaking in the vibes (and questionable fumes wafting up from the streets) of the city that inspired this book!
But before I leave, a quick update on some other fun things:
Love and Other Brain Experiments is an Aardvark book club pick for February so if you are/become a member this month you can get the book in hardcover format (US/CA only)
I currently have a giveaway running on Instagram for a signed copy of LOBE along with books featuring women in STEM by other brilliant authors (Nisha J. Tuli, Ali Hazelwood, Shaylin Gandhi, Keshe Chow, and Maggie Eckersley) — participate here (US only)
For all the London book lovers: I will be signing at Of Books and Love on Valentine’s Day together with Georgia Stone, author of The Friendship Fling and upcoming The Roommate Rule (which are both favourites of mine so I recommend you read). Get your tickets here
Speak soon!
Love and Other Brain Experiments is a STEM romance about a scientist whose career is on the line after a mistaken assumption that she’s in a relationship with her academic rival, forcing her to convince him to play along and keep fake dating him for the duration of a high stakes conference.

Happy pub day! So excited for the world to meet Frances and Lewis!
Yay!
Is there pdf version available?
